Kinc and Crotale have done it again! This time they've managed to overclock a Conroe X6800, with liquid nitrogen, to 4.95Ghz. It produced the second lowest SuperPi time ever at 10.375 seconds. The OC they obtained was limited by the motherboard since 4.95Ghz was the highest frequency it could obtain.
The GeForce 7300GT is by far the best budget graphics card ever. It boasts a heap of rendering pipelines with modest core and memory frequencies that allow a good amount of overclocking. The Radeon x1300 Pro is running close to its maximum clocks and only has 4 pipelines. The 7300GT, at default settings, still seems to be faster than the Radeon x1300 Pro in gaming anyway.
A real preview of Conroe's performance, that is, not setup by Intel. They use 7900GTX SLi for gaming benchmarks.
The timeline of the Legend(s) of Zelda has been twisted and tunred and misunderstood throught the games. Here's a timeline that straightens everything out.
The Pirate Bay has once again changed their site's logo. This time it is a Phoenix Bird. It says The Phoenix Bay when you hover your mouse over it.

Here's what the new version of digg will look like. I'll be staying with the tech news though, but it looks great.
The only new feature of the AM2 Semprons is that they support dual-channel DDR2 RAM. So there should be only a small difference in performance between the s754 and s940 Semprons. DDR2 has struggled to outperform the original DDR standard, so should you expect a huge leap in performance from DDR2?
If you built a high-end rig a few years ago, a 3Ghz cpu is still competitive for single-threaded apps, low-latency DDR400 is still runs strong against DDR2 and AGP8x bandwidth is still enough for any game out now. Minus dual-core cpus and multi-threaded apps, only graphics processors have seen any performance leaps. The gaming world is moving all away from the AGP interface regardless of performance. Seeing how many don't have enough to buy a whole new system, they may have enough to just upgrade their GPU. Radeon x1600 Pro AGP Review @ Tom's Hardware
Who needs a mere 4-GHz of processing power these days? Why not double it up, with a dual-core device while you're at it? Our do it yourself (DIY) project shows how you can build a dual-core CPU PC by buying parts from your friendly neighborhood or online PC component vendor. I recommend the $1224 model since you can game on it.
Palit has released their 7900gt 512mb board. Instead of the 7900gts usual 256mb, this one has twice as much, not unlike the GTX variation. But does it stack up to the GTX?
nVidia's new flagship card, the 7950 GX2 is actually two cards for the price of one really expensive one. Its performance is close to the 7900GTX SLi for around $325 less.
It may be possible for Apple and Nintendo to merge. After all, they are very similar companies. Two underdogs. And Apple has the cash.
Thinking about stealing a Sidekick? Well some dumbasses did, and they did it horribly.
bit-tech has taken two cards for media center PCs. The Sapphire x1600xt Ultimate passively cooled or the MSI nx7600GS passively cooled for your HTPC? Both cards support hardware acceleration and HD playback, but which does it best?
bit-tech has a match between FF7 and Oblivion. Two games that are considered to be the best rpgs ever released. Who takes the crown?
AMDs new AM2 socket has to better than its 939 counterparts. It is. Especially in overclocking.
There's going to be a Monopoly board game based on Nintendo characters. The tokens look pretty sweet. This looks awesome!
If you go looking for information on what it's like to switch over to a Mac, you'll quickly run into hyperbole, zealots, bigots, and naysayers... from both the Windows and Mac camps. So here's what it's like to switch to a Mac, without the hysterics: Be Patient

The Red Hot Chili Peppers were accused of copying styles of Tom Petty's hit ‘Mary Jane’s Last Dance’ for their song Dani California.' I listened to both and their beats sound similar, but not enough to be called plariarism. There are only so many beats you can make anyways.
Shacknews has just posted their review for the new HL2: EP1. Its a larger game compressed into a short 5-hour block, and packed from start to finish with action.
The Pirate Bay is back, sporting a new logo. Search feature will be online later. Searching for now gives the message "no hits due to politics"
VR-Zone reviews Inno3Ds 7600GS. For $100 you get a great value for your money out of teh box already. This 7600GS also manages to overclock very well, furtherly increasing your reason to buy it if you are short on cash.
